The kids braved the cool winds and chilly air to play in the backyard with Grandma Lilian & the chicks. Roger & Stell tinkered with odd jobs around the house. Later whilst Sagey slept, I had an hour to do a little sewing on my latest quilt and the rest of the family ventured to the park to play on the flying fox & look at the ducks.

Mum and Phoenix popped over for lunch yesterday. We had planned to go to the Lantern festival in Belgrave but the weather was just too rainy & chilly. A shame really as Mum had spent much time making an amazing lantern for Phoenix. I'll get a pic and post it soon.
I received an interesting email from my Grandma with information regarding my family tree, also photos of family members from 1920-1930. Remarkable to see some family resemblance. Also Grandma knitted Lily another beautiful soft woollen vest and hat to keep her cosy.
Arwen and Mia visited Upwey on tuesday, we spent the day chatting and playing with the kids in the garden. Arwen and Mia have gone to QLD for a a holiday with relatives.

The chicks are now living outside in their little coop, they've double in size and grown soft pretty feathers. It's possible one or all of them may be roosters, all are still undetermined.
That's all for now. Have a cheerful week all :)
