Happy Winter
Wow! How cold is it? I can't believe Winter officially only began today, it's been ffffreezing up here in the hills. The mornings are foggy, frosty & somewhat pretty with the last of the stunning red autumn leaves waving in the breeze. My vege patch hasn't taken off too well though, probably due to the intense frost. We're finding it difficult to spend much time in the yard lately, although we all make a dash for the door if a few rays of sun shine in.
Sagey is growing so quickly, he has a great vocab already and tends to parrot every word he hears. He is a cheeky little thing, with a lot of humour and happiness about him.
Lily too is doing well, growing taller, smarter, more beautiful and stubborn each day. We had a terrible scare 2 nights ago, with Lily waking gasping for breath, unable to stop coughing (she said it felt like there was an animal barking in her throat) and screaming. I raced her to the hospital, where we spent 5 hrs, lots of medication and constant care. Croup! the evil, evil croup! I haven't left her side since the trauma, she seems to be on the mend. Fingers crossed Sagey doesn't get it too.
Stell is busy, busy at work, always seems like he is doing the work of 3 people or more.We all look forward to the weekends when we four are together.
Mum & I have been enjoying each others company, shopping, lunching, playing with the kids, going for drives....just like the old days back in East St Kilda.
Missing Lilian & Roger, but planning a catch up this weekend, looking forward to hearing all the NZ and Tassie news.
Life is good!
