A new year already full of cheer

Olivia Bear & Lily

Olivia & Heidi Bear & Lily

The new year has begun, already a week in & Sage is already 3 weeks old! Wow time is flying by for me, as I watch Lily & Sage grow and develop their beautiful personalities right before my eyes. I thought I was really going to struggle with spending another year or 2 at home doing kid stuff and domestic goddess duties. So far I am quite enjoy it. I feel so much better now that the pregnancy is over; I have a an abundance of energy and am inspired once again by our pretty surroundings and great old house.

Sage the angel baby is sleeping through the night...*gasps with joy*...who would have thought babies actually do this! He amazes Stellan and I with his cheerful, calm energy & ability to spend so much time happily sleeping. When he is awake he coo's, smiles, grabs his toys, stares longingly at food & adores his big sister, Mummy & Daddy.

Lily is changing everyday from my baby girl into my little girl, with her own opinions and ideas. She is very imaginative and outspoken (not sure where she gets that ;D), polite, sensitive and adventurous. Any chance to play in water, sand or mud is taken with glee. Her speech is wonderful & her vocab surprises me all the time. She is a funny little thing and has really warmed to her baby brother Sagey-bum as she fondly calls him.

Stellan and I have been getting to spend more of evenings together now as the kids are mostly sleeping through. It's great to reconnect, as I spent every night of my last pregnancy in bed by 9pm, feeling exhausted and grumpy. We are enjoying hanging out & catching up on some movies, but usually talking about our gorgeous children.

We had a lovely visit from our NZ family a few days ago. Greta, Marcel, Olivia & Heidi came out to Upwey for a BBQ and long overdue catchup. It was a great arvo, Lily was "soooo happy" to have her cousins here to play & it was lovely for all us olds to catch up too. (Olds, I can't believe I just referred to us in this manner LOL).
