Yesterday Lily & I went to the local childcare centre and spent an hour checking out Lily's potential new friends, teacher & environment. The centre is only about 5mins away by car and is a small centre with only 40 kids total. Lily's group has 10 kids aged between 2-3 and two carers. Most of the kids seemed much younger than Lily, but maybe that's just because she is so much taller than everyone her age. She was fine with hanging out in the yard checking out the sandpit & swing, but did get a bit teary when I went inside for 10mins or so. We're going again next Friday, and maybe I'll even leave her there for a little bit, depending on how she feels. I am able to get her a place there on Tuesday's & Friday's.
I think it's going to be a hard time for the 2 of us, as the longest we have ever been apart is less than 8hrs, while I was birthing Sage & she was with Grandma Lilian & Pa. But it's worth a try, I think Lily is getting a little bored at home with Sage and needs to extended her social circle.
