A walk up the big hill

Mid morning in the warm sunshine we set off walking up the steep hills to Tecoma primary school fete. It was a really beautiful walk, great to check out some local streets and other peoples houses & gardens. Lily fell asleep on the way which left us free to browse the 2nd hand goods at the fete. Found a couple of interesting books for myself & Lily, listened to the 10-12 year olds jamming in the Battle of the Bands (who were excellent & playing, Stones, Wolfmother, AC/DC) & ate some yummy anzac bikkies. Stell & Lily went to an animal adventure show, and saw lizards, snakes frogs & other critters. We hung around for a few hours, enjoying the sun and all the activity, then caught the train home to Upwey. Lily's fist train ride which she loved. Now we are home and wouldn't you know it the rain has just started pelting down....ah rain I love it!

Planted a few more flowers and veges yesterday, as you can see I have immersed the earth in snail pellets. Well I have just been outside and found me a morgue of snails, not so nice, but none of my plants have been eaten.

Bummer, we were in Tecoma for Kai's karate lesson, had to rush off to netball instead of going to the fete. Netball was crap and I wish so much that we had of stuck around Tecoma to go to the fete instead... we were training it too, it would have been perfect to meet up with y'all... oh well.
