Autumn beginning
A week of pretty pictures featuring yellow, blue & grey.
I have begun a man quilt, my first of it's kind as a birthday pressie for Stellan. The fabrics I'm using are stunning; moustaches, Escher like fish, scallops, a combination of yellow, grey, black & white. I have finished the top & am hoping to back it with a vintage blanket that belonged to Stell's Gran. It will look fab & make the bed extra warm in the cool weather which will soon be abundant.
I have been making progress with the house painting, the silvery grey is beautiful against the sky and gums & the glossy white really sets it off. It's a massive job, but I'm not putting to much pressure on myself and only painting in 4 hour stints.
I sent out our first wholesale order of Star Cards this week, which was very happy making. A congrats to my lovely Aunt who put so much talent & effort into their production. I have my first market for the year on March 9 in Belgrave, looking forward to getting amongst the crafty scene.
Autumn has arrived and with it some pretty birds in the yard, 2 yellow crested black cockatoos & a family of king parrots to name a few.
The only decent clothing shop in Upwey is closing down, I popped in today to have a chat with the owner. A lady I have become friends with and also admire her sewing & crafty skills She gifted me a beautiful handmade wreath made using found objects and pre loved trinkets, very pretty. I bought a couple of items of clothing, one being the yellow top I'm wearing in the pic above. I have been following a pledge to buy only recycled, handmade or ethical/Australian made clothing this year. So far so good, the 2 items I bought today were made in Melbourne by the company Vigorella, they fit my pledge criteria.
Stell & the kids visited L&R in Port Melbs today, all went for a bike ride & had a BBQ. I missed out on the fun, but used the time to paint.

Ahh so now we know how busy you were while we had a bike ride and spent some time at the park with challenging climbing equipment. I was amazed how confident Sage is with his strength and stretching on the high frame.
Lily had forgotten how she got to the top last year and with some problem solving she achieved her goal and made it to the top.
Stell & Roger had a father son ride although a brief one and they took my new one for a quick spin too.
