Poor little Lily has been really knocked around by her last round of immunisations, she has been unwell for around 10 days now, and the worst of it has been for the past 3 days & nights. It's just awful to see her like this, fever, irritable, rash etc. and so little I can do to make her feel better. The funny little thing still found the energy to put her cat ears on though, a definite favourite at the mo.
Although Lily hasn't been well we still had a busy week; going to the pool twice, once with Mum, Phoenix, Arwen, Aaron & Mia to Harold Holt, I even went for a dip! Then the next day to Monbulk pool, which was lovely, cool and sort of set in the forest.
We ventured to Richmond to visit Jen & have lunch with Ruthie, who I have missed heaps, it's been 6mths since our last catch up. Pretty slack really seeings it used to be weekly. It was great to see her, although Lily's sickness really started kicking in this day.
I had a visit to the dentist for a clean & check up, and found I have been cleaning my teeth way to vigorously and have worn grooves in 2 of my teeth. Thus resulting in my first 2 filings ever. Not looking forward to that, or the sting of the bill either.
Dropped in to Jo & E's cool paradise to hang out and play with the kids and the chickens & have a good yak.
Had a couple of visits from Mum & the Bean over the week too, always good to see their happy faces.
Stell got really busy around the house over the weekend and finished putting up the shelves and painting in the walk-in pantry, which is fabulous and really brings the kitchen together. He also put up a new awning/blind over the lounge window to try to keep out some of the heat. Really hard job, have no idea how he accomplished it on his own. We also made some other minor improvements around the home, and moved some furniture around in the dining room to make way for a new couch and LCD.
So it's been a busy week, with trips to the park, library & of course the usual bunnings, knox & supermarkets too.
For now Lily sleeps, I really hope she awakes feeling rested, bright & better.
