Basking in the glorious garden

Some lovely warm weather has been shining on us in Upwey, the birds are chirping, flowers are blooming and of course the grass is always growing. I was surprised today to find 4 huge red plums growing on the plum tree (hmm that sounds funny doesn't it what else would grow on a plum tree!). I had thought it wouldn't fruit due to neglect from the past tenants, but it appears the fertiliser and love we've been giving is working. Yay! The apple tree is lovely and picture bookish and also the fig tree is covered in large fruit. Vege patch is taking off and all the trees, flowers, herbs and shrubs are too.

Next step is getting our chookpen organised ready for some pet chicks. I'm sure Lily will love them. She is so eager to get outside everyday that she puts her hat on inside all the time, thinking I will take her outside. She has been exploring the yard, taking herself for walks up to the shed and back, no hand holding from Mummy allowed. We are quite sure we heard her say Grandpa a few times on the weekend, it sounded like Bampa, very cute.
