| One of the many stunning lanterns |
It's been a busy week for us with many performances & outings. Sage enjoyed a fab one woman show at his Kinder which went for 2 hours and was full of audience participation. He had a great time flying a rocket, roaring like a dinosaur, playing with a parachute & laughing along with the other kids.
A couple of days later Lil's school put on a concert in the afternoon, Lily & her friends entertained us with a rendition of Yellow Submarine & Rock n roll music, by The Beatles. The afternoon concert was held to celebrate the schools 50th birthday.
The party continued that evening with an outdoors bush dance, which was lots of fun. The winter weather was very crisp and the rain held off right until the end. There was a little bush band playing and the kids & parents all joined in for a bit of heel & toe dancing.
Tonight Sage, Lily and I caught the train to Belgrave to join in with the annual winter solstice lantern parade, it's our 4th year going. The among of effort put into making the giant lanterns is amazing, and every year there seem to be a larger turn out and more incredible lanterns. Such a great festive atmosphere, with drums, children, and abundance of lanterns. We 3 loved it! We caught the train back to our town and went for a lovely evening visit with Jo and the kids. Strawberry pancakes & kid's playing, a peachy way to end the night.
