A few recent pics of Lily

Finally an update on my neglected blog....fires are out, evacuations over, autumn is here but I here myself saying bring on winter. I'm sure if it were here there would be the ever present whinging of "it's too cold". But after this summer I think winter will be divine. Even just some rain, real solid rain, rain that lasts a whole week and turns everything to glorious mud.



The backyard has been baked and this is what remains of my once thriving vege patch, but Miss Lily doesn't complain, she loves to get right in there and dig dig dig! One upside the lawn doesn't need to be mowed, it's been crispy fried, so that's a little of the backyard maintenance out of the way. We got evaporative cooling installed last month, it's awesome and cools the house down really well.



Lily is growing taller, longer, more talkative and very cuddly. She has a lot of words she can say now, and is very good at letting us know her needs. Her climbing skills are great she can get up and down all the steps in the yard, and is almost ready to go down the slide unassisted.



Night times are still difficult with Lily still not sleeping the whole way through, she tends to wake up every 3 hours or so which is very tiring for Stell and I as one of us has to get her back to sleep. I dream about the day she sleep through, even for 6 hours....ahhh sleep...



Stell juggles a fair bit and Lily is either trying to copy him or be his side-kick ball girl, very cute.
