We went to Upwey yesterday wih Roger & Lilian to have a look at our house & take some measurments. Was a chilly clear day, and we spent an hour or so chatting to the current owner. She told us a bit about the garden; we have a fig, apple, pear, peppercorn, juniper berry & many more beautiful trees. There are some lovely plants too, jasmine, dwarf iris, a yellow rose bush, agapanthas and more, lots of potential for a pretty garden. Also the soil looks okay for a vege/herb garden.
The house needs some work, but overall it is a great place with lots of light and a great vibe. 42 more sleeps to go till settlement day..yippeeeee we did it!

I love the house it really looks like a "HOME" and the garden sounds lovely and natural. You will be able to grow veges and I am sure Mum will be getting lots of plants ready for you.
If there are a lot of young families in the area you may be able to start your 'party business' that you talked about a while ago.
